(832) 555-0147 — Call for Same-Day ServiceSprinkler Head Repair & Replacement
The most common call we get — and the fastest fix.
Sprinkler heads take a beating in Houston. Lawn mowers clip them, cars run over them in driveways, and the relentless Texas sun eventually degrades the plastic. A broken head might spray straight up into the air, barely mist, or leak constantly even when the system is off. Any of those situations wastes water and drives up your bill — fast.
When we show up, we check not just the broken head but the entire zone to make sure the flow rate and coverage pattern make sense for your lawn. We carry Rain Bird 1800 series, Hunter PGP rotors, Toro T5 and T-Bird heads, and Orbit equivalents on every truck. We usually have your zone running correctly in under an hour.
What's Included
- Pop-up spray head replacement
- Rotor head replacement and adjustment
- Bubblers and drip emitter repair
- Nozzle cleaning and replacement
- Coverage arc and radius adjustment
- Grade leveling (heads sinking into soil)
Zone Valve Repair & Replacement
Zone won't turn on — or won't turn off. Either way, we fix it.
Zone valves are the workhorses of any sprinkler system. When a zone stops responding to your controller, it's usually a failed solenoid, a cracked diaphragm, or debris stuck in the valve body. When a zone won't shut off — especially stressful during Houston's watering restriction periods — it's almost always a diaphragm or solenoid problem.
Zone valve work requires digging up the valve box, which we do carefully to avoid damaging existing lines. Most valves can be rebuilt on the spot (solenoid replacement, new diaphragm kit) for considerably less than a full valve replacement. We're familiar with all the major brands: Rain Bird, Hunter, Irritrol, Weathermatic, and Toro. If the manifold itself is cracked or the box has flooded and corroded the assembly, we'll quote the full replacement price upfront before any work begins.
What's Included
- Solenoid testing and replacement
- Diaphragm and seat replacement
- Full valve body replacement
- Valve box cleaning and realignment
- Wire splice repair and waterproofing
- Multi-zone manifold reconfiguration
Backflow Preventer Testing & Repair
Required by Texas law — we make it easy.
If your irrigation system is connected to the city's water supply (and most are), Texas state law requires that your backflow preventer be tested annually by a licensed tester. In Houston, the deadline is typically set by Houston Water and failure to comply can result in fines and eventually water shutoff.
Our licensed irrigator is also a certified backflow tester. We test your device, issue the proper test report, and submit it directly to the city on your behalf. If your backflow preventer fails the test — which happens regularly with pressure vacuum breakers (PVBs) that take the brunt of Houston's weather — we can repair or replace the assembly the same visit in most cases. Repairs and replacements vary by device type and condition — we'll give you a firm price before any work begins.
What's Included
- Annual backflow preventer test (all device types)
- Official test report documentation
- Direct submission to Houston Water
- PVB repair and replacement
- Double check valve (DC) testing and repair
- Reduced pressure zone (RPZ) assembly service
Controller & Timer Programming
Set it right and watch your water bill drop.
Your irrigation controller is basically the brain of the whole system. A misconfigured timer is one of the most common causes of overwatering in Houston — which isn't just wasteful, it can promote disease in St. Augustine, Bermuda, and Zoysia grass. Under the current Stage 2 restrictions (odd/even watering days, two-day-a-week maximum), a lot of older controllers need to be reprogrammed.
We work with every major brand: Rain Bird ESP-Me, Hunter Pro-C, Orbit B-hyve, RainBird Wifi controllers, Rachio smart controllers, and older non-smart units. We'll set your schedule based on your grass type, sun exposure, soil, and the current HCAD restrictions. If you're ready to upgrade to a smart Wi-Fi controller, we'll walk you through the options and give you a firm installed price before any work begins.
What's Included
- Programming review and correction
- Seasonal schedule adjustment
- Watering restriction compliance setup
- Smart controller installation and setup
- Rain sensor installation and testing
- Remote app setup and walkthrough
Underground Leak Detection & Repair
A soggy patch in your yard isn't just annoying — it's costing you money.
Underground irrigation leaks are sneaky. Sometimes you'll notice a wet spot that never fully dries out, even in Houston's summer heat. Sometimes your water bill just creeps up for no obvious reason. Either way, you've got a break somewhere in your mainline or lateral lines, and it needs to be found before the water damage spreads.
We use a combination of system pressure testing, zone isolation, and careful ground probing to pinpoint underground leaks without tearing up your entire yard. Most breaks are caused by root intrusion, freeze damage (yes, Houston does freeze — February 2021 taught everyone that), ground settlement, or simply age. Once we find the break, we dig a precise access hole, repair the fitting or pipe section, and backfill and tamp the area. We don't leave you with a gaping trench.
What's Included
- Full system pressure testing
- Zone-by-zone flow isolation
- Ground probing and leak pinpointing
- Mainline and lateral pipe repair
- Fitting and swing joint replacement
- Surface restoration and tamping
New Sprinkler System Installation
Done right from day one — designed for your property.
Houston's clay soil, variable slope, and hot summers make proper irrigation design more important here than almost anywhere else in the country. An underpowered system with too few zones means dry spots and dead patches. An oversized system with the wrong heads means disease and mold. We design systems sized for your specific property.
Every new installation includes a site visit to map your property, design a zone layout optimized for your grass type and bed configurations, pull any required city permits, and install using schedule 40 PVC with all compression fittings. We don't use cheap poly pipe buried 2 inches deep. Our systems are built to last 15+ years with minimal maintenance. Residential system quotes are free and usually take 2–3 days to turn around.
What's Included
- Free site evaluation and design consultation
- Permit filing (where required)
- Schedule 40 PVC mainline installation
- Head placement and zone optimization
- Controller and rain sensor installation
- Full system commissioning and training
Seasonal Startup & Winterization
Houston doesn't freeze often, but when it does, it freezes hard.
After Winter Storm Uri in 2021, Houston homeowners learned the hard way that backflow preventers, exposed PVC, and manifold assemblies can sustain serious damage in an extended freeze. We offer winterization services in late fall/early winter to drain down your system, protect exposed components, and insulate vulnerable assemblies before temperatures drop.
Conversely, in spring we do seasonal startup inspections — turning up each zone, checking heads and pressure, inspecting valves, and resetting the controller for warm-season watering schedules. Spring startup is a good time to catch heads that heaved over winter, replace any cracked caps, and flush debris from the lines.
What's Included
- Full system startup after winter dormancy
- Zone pressure and coverage check
- Head and nozzle inspection
- Backflow preventer insulation
- Controller seasonal reprogram
- Winterization drain-down (where applicable)
Drip Irrigation Installation & Repair
The most efficient way to water flower beds and trees.
Drip irrigation delivers water directly to the root zone of plants, which dramatically reduces evaporation and runoff — especially important during Houston's Stage 1 and Stage 2 drought restrictions, when spray irrigation has strict rules but drip systems often have more flexibility. Drip is ideal for flower beds, shrub borders, raised vegetable gardens, and individual trees.
We design and install drip systems using pressure-compensating emitters at correct flow rates for your specific plants. We also repair existing drip systems — finding clogged or broken emitters, fixing critter-chewed tubing, and cleaning filters. If your existing beds are running on spray heads, we can convert them to drip, which usually pays for itself within a couple of seasons in water savings.
What's Included
- Drip zone design and installation
- Emitter flow rate selection by plant type
- Pressure regulator and filter installation
- Existing drip system repair and cleaning
- Spray-to-drip bed conversion
- Mulch integration and tubing burial
Water Audits & System Inspections
Find out how much water you're actually using — and where it's going.
A water audit is a systematic, zone-by-zone evaluation of your irrigation system's efficiency. We measure catch-can data to determine actual application rates, check for head-to-head coverage gaps, identify overspray onto pavement, and calculate your system's distribution uniformity. If you've been getting high water bills or you want to qualify for Houston's rebate programs, a professional audit is the starting point.
Full water audits typically take 2–3 hours for a residential property and result in a written report with specific recommendations. We also offer simpler annual inspection services — a zone-by-zone visual review without the catch-can testing — which is a good option if you just want to make sure everything's working properly before summer.
What's Included
- Zone-by-zone pressure and flow assessment
- Head coverage and arc verification
- Catch-can distribution uniformity testing
- Overspray and runoff identification
- Written report with recommendations
- Water authority rebate documentation (where applicable)
